Frequently asked questions

The questions we are actually asked, answered without hedging. If yours is not here, write to us — the team answers directly.

Where is the marketplace itself?

On eurekabike.com and eurekabike.it, where it has been running since 2021. This site explains what AGORA is and how it works; it is not the marketplace, and no listing or purchase happens here.

Who can sell?

Shops and brands publish commercial listings, business to consumer and business to business. Private riders publish their own used equipment. Both attach to the same catalogue pages — the difference is who the seller is, not how the product is described.

Can I sell used equipment?

Yes, both as a business and as a private seller. Used listings sit on the same product page as new ones, which is exactly what makes a used price readable: you can see what the thing actually is, and what it goes for new.

Why can I not write my own product description?

Because if every seller wrote their own, the same component would exist under a dozen descriptions and nothing would be comparable — which is the problem AGORA was built to remove. You describe your offer: condition, price, availability. What the product is comes from the catalogue.

What if my product is not in the catalogue?

Then the catalogue has a gap, and it gets closed upstream in the normalisation layer rather than patched with an invented page. Fixing it once fixes it for every platform of the vertical, not just for your listing.

Why only one category per product?

Because cross-posting is how category browsing dies. A product belongs to exactly one category, taken from the vertical’s product-type system. It is a real constraint, and it is the reason a category is still worth opening after a few thousand listings.

How do I get started?

Write to us through the contact page and say whether you are a shop, a brand or a private seller. We will point you at the right route in.

The marketplace is already running.

AGORA has been operating on the Italian market since 2021. Go and look at it — or write to us if you want to sell on it.
